Medical & wellness DTV FAQ

Do I need to have started treatment already?

No. If you've been treated in Thailand before, your existing records usually suffice. If you're planning treatment, we can connect you with a clinic and arrange the appointments and paperwork.

How long should my treatment and stay be?

Programs of 6 months or longer have a better chance of approval. If you're unsure, we'll help you plan it.

How long can I stay in Thailand on the DTV?

Each entry allows up to 180 days, extendable once for another 180 days at a local immigration office. The visa is valid for 5 years with multiple entries.

How much money do I need to show?

Proof of 500,000 THB (about $15,000) in a personal bank account, typically shown on the last three months of statements.

Can I apply from inside Thailand?

No — the DTV must be applied for from outside Thailand through the official online e-Visa system.
